2022 Farm Tours

Our farm tours will start again on Saturday 29th April 2023 and will run until Saturday 28th October 2023, weather permitting.
Booking in advance is essential, and we are taking bookings now.
Our farm tours are exclusive for each booking, so your party will not have to share the wagon with anyone else.
There is room for about 12 adults to sit comfortably, or more people if there are several children / small adults. We are insured for up to 19 people.
SPECIAL FARMING & WILDLIFE TOURS
We're delighted that Nigel Hester, who has worked in conservation and wildlife management on Exmoor for over forty years, has very kindly agreed to help us some special farming & wildlife tours here at West Ilkerton, as they were so popular last year. Details to follow.

PRICES FOR 2023 (the same as they were in 2022):

First adult £40

Each additional adult £10

Children under 16 £5
Children under 2 FREE
Children must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for them.

Well-behaved dogs by arrangement. Please check when booking.

Group rates are available for bookings worth over £100.
These prices include VAT. Please ask if you would like a VAT receipt.

Our standard tours take about 1 1/2 - 2 hours
Guests are welcome to bring their own food and drink.
Special picnic trips can be arranged, with food and drink provided. 
Exclusive tailor-made educational visits or special occasion parties can be arranged.

Groups & Parties

Exclusive tailor-made educational visits or special occasion parties can be arranged.
Group rates are available for bookings worth over £100 inc VAT.
For large groups, we can split the party into two give a Power Point presentation about the farm to one half while the other half has a tour of the farm.
Our field by the stream can be made available for picnics, relaxing and field studies.
Please note that our lane is narrow. Minibuses can get to the farm but coaches cannot.

Payment

Cash, cheques, BACS or card payments are accepted.

Bookings Terms & Conditions

Booking is essential.

Children up to the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

If you book a tour, please honour that booking. 

Up to two dogs are allowed free of charge as long as they are on leads and lie quietly on the floor of the wagon. No dogs on the seats, please. (Dogs can damage the seat covers.) The door of the wagon makes a noise when it closes, which can be frightening for gun-shy dogs. We can provide a place in the shade for you to park your car if you'd like to leave your dog in the car. You are welcome to take your dog(s) for a walk on the farm before or after your tour, as long as they are under your control at all times.

If the weather is bad please contact us to discuss options. We want everyone to have a good time, so if the weather forecast is really bad we'll do our best to arrange for you to visit at a different time.
